Who we are
We are a social enterprise that turns a daily necessity into a lifelong opportunity.
Our vision
To see lives restored, rebuilt and released.
Our values
Care. Excellence. Integrity.
Our story
“We are blessed to be a blessing.”
Moses and Mary are the co-founders of SWIG. They grew up in humble circumstances where basic necessities—water and education—were a privilege. Driven by faith and God-ordained relationships, they founded SWIG to turn a daily necessity into a lifelong opportunity.
For nearly a decade, Mary has coordinated a child sponsorship and mentorship programme through Rhope Kids and Rhope, helping more than 300 students from less-privileged backgrounds go through school and mentorship. Moses has spent more than a decade leading a Christian engineering organisation that has provided safe water and sanitation solutions to over 450,000 people in Kenya and East Africa.
Building on these experiences, Moses and Mary founded SWIG in September 2026. They look forward to growing an organisation that opens lifelong opportunities through WASH, education, mentorship and leadership development, enterprise development, peacebuilding and conflict management, health and hunger initiatives, and faith.

The global water crisis
Water is a basic necessity, yet 2.1 billion people around the world lack access to sustainable, safe water, while 3.1 billion lack access to safely managed sanitation. Every day in rural communities throughout sub-Saharan Africa, millions of people suffer from a lack of clean, safe water.
In Kenya, an estimated 1 million people—roughly 34% of the population—lack access to safe and basic drinking water. In the communities SWIG serves, the challenge reaches 8 out of 9 people. Without water, people cannot grow food, stay healthy, remain in school or keep working. Many primary schools still lack sustainable access to water and sanitation, putting hope on hold.
But there is hope
Children and mothers often bear the burden of walking miles to rivers, streams, shallow wells and ponds for water that may carry water-borne disease. Illness and the time lost fetching water rob entire communities of their futures.
By delivering sustainable access to critical WASH infrastructure in schools, communities and disaster situations, we help unlock lifelong opportunities in:
- Education
- Mentorship and leadership development
- Peacebuilding and conflict resolution
- Enterprise development
- Faith initiatives
- Health and hunger
Integrity and transparency
We believe deeply in end-to-end transparency and accountability. That means showing every outcome and being honest about every cost. Transparency and accountability are a commitment to serving others first, with excellence. Done right, our supporters benefit as well.
